As part of Growth Dimensions' ongoing efforts to increase Boone County's and Illinois' competitive advantage, we are encouraged by the strides that are happening at the State level to attract and retain manufacturing and other businesses.
As an organization, we would like to thank Senator Steve Stadelman, Representative Dave Vella, countless local, regional and state officials, and business leaders in supporting the initiatives and legislature to make Boone County and Illinois a viable option for new and existing businesses and manufacturers.

REV Passes Illinois House and Senate
On Thursday, October 28, 2021, the Illinois General Assembly approved the Reimagining Electric Vehicles in Illinois (REV) tax credit program, by a vote of 55-0 in the Illinois Senate. It later passed the passed by 110-2 in the House.
"With the passage of the REV Act, Illinois is making clear that it intends to be a leading state in the burgeoning electric vehicle manufacturing industry," Pritzker said in a statement Friday. "As a leader in clean energy and as a global transportation hub, Illinois is an ideal home for this important climate-friendly industry. I appreciate the hard work and sponsorship of Senator Steve Stadelman and Representative Dave Vella, who shepherded this bill through with broad support from our lawmakers."
Momentum Continues to Bring Incentives to Stellantis and Other Illinois Auto Manufacturers
On Sunday, October 24, 2021, Senator Steve Stadleman held a press conference with Boone County and regional community leaders, including Growth Dimensions' executive director Pamela Lopez-Fettes, to discuss the REV incentive package which went to the Illinois general assembly, as well as the goal is to attract auto manufacturers to build and stay in Illinios.
