Payment Protection Program

  • Payment Protection Program
    • OMEE sent an email regarding the PPP to our OMEE business owner listserv in English and Spanish. In case you are not on that listserv, here is the English version sent out:

The Office of Minority Economic empowerment (OMEE) wants to make you aware that the Payment Protection Program (PPP) round 2 officially opened as of 9:00 am on January 11 for those that currently don’t have a PPP loan. On Wednesday, January 13, 2021 you can request a second PPP loan if you already have one. At the moment, all PPP requests must be made via community financial institutions. This has been done as an effort to support underserved communities so please contact your local Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) today. At a later date, PPP will be open with traditional lenders, etc.

At this time, OMEE is waiting on more details to be released; however, we suggest you contact the community financial institution in your area (or your preferred lender) to discuss your options.

Once OMEE has more information, we will share it.
