Healing Illinois

The United Way of Northwest Illinois has received funds from Healing Illinois, a state initiative intended to “build a bridge to a racially equitable Illinois.” Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to community-based organizations of all sizes to help create community-centric inclusive spaces to engage in meaningful dialogue about racial healing.

Any community agency in Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, Carroll and Jo Daviess counties is invited to apply for funds. Grant requests and initiatives should focus on promoting dialogue, encouraging collaboration, facilitating learning, and seeding connection. Grant applications must be completed online and be submitted by 4:00 p.m. January 15, 2021. Visit the link below for more information and to apply.
