Join the League of Women Voters, Rockford Area Moms Demand Action, and NICNE for a meeting focused on preventing youth gum violence in the Rockford area.

We believe that by working together, we can help prevent both gun-related suicides and homicides among our youth.  You are an important part of the solution.

 
Please join us for a community meeting focused on preventing youth gun violence in the Rockford area, hosted by the League of Women Voters of Greater Rockford (LWVGR), Rockford Area Moms Demand Action (RAMDA), and the Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence (NICNE).

Firearms are the leading cause of death for children and teens (0-19), with 4,300 deaths, and 17,000 injuries, each year. An estimated 3M children witness shootings each year, and Black and Hispanic or Latino are disproportionately impacted by gun violence. Join us - You are an important part of the solution!
