ILLINOIS BROADBAND LAB PRESENTS:
Unpacking the DECK NOFO: The Digital Equity Capacity Kickstarter Grant Program in Action
Thursday, June 29 at 12 PM CT
Communities would like to help those residents who typically find themselves in the “digital divide,” whether it be due to lacking the means to access existing broadband, the need for programs focused on digital skill building, funding community technology center access, or exploring access expansion feasibility (a.k.a. feasibility studies). Digital equity funds aim to impact low-income households, aging populations, incarcerated individuals, veterans, people with disabilities, people with language barriers, racial and ethnic minorities, and rural inhabitants. Counties and communities that have this support will see increased participation in the digital economy.
Join the Illinois Broadband Lab and Illinois Office of Broadband us for a webinar on how communities in Illinois can best access digital equity funds through the Digital Equity Capacity Kickstarter Grant Program.
Free and open to the public.
Registering for this even will generate a confirmation email with online meeting access information and ensure a webinar recording be emailed to you following the event.
If you will need an accommodation in order to participate, please send a request to esarey@illinois.edu. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time to meet your access needs.
