Workshop Overview
As nonprofits strive toward a better tomorrow for their organization and program participants, rapid and continuous change and lingering uncertainty can make it difficult to look very far ahead. Although we cannot predict the future, it is a worthy attempt; Defining your desired future in the context of our changing world is a key step in achieving mission impact.
By considering key aspects of change, leaders can both visualize the desired future and implement immediate and long-term plans to make that future a reality. This workshop will explore attitudes toward change and agency to drive change within your organization, introduce key concepts of strategic foresight, and provide you with tools to bring this way of thinking to your board and organization. Stephanie will illustrate the benefits of futures thinking, introduce you to several foresight exercises, and help you begin to explore how key drivers of change may impact your work over the coming years. Stretch your thinking to look beyond your current horizons to envision a dramatically different future and imagine your work within that new context.
Intended Audience
This workshop is intended for staff, board and volunteer leaders. This workshop is also applicable to others looking to make sense of a changing marketplace and world to lead and plan more efficiently for a strong future for your organizations and program participants.
