The Boone County Conservation District showcases two authentic pioneer cabins, and ethnic gardens from Swedish, Norwegian and other groups who settled in Northern Illinois. They offer various programs and exhibits offered throughout the year relating to nature and the environment.
They also operate and maintain numerous Conservation Areas in Boone County, Illinois, including 14.2 miles of Long Prairie Trail in Northern Boone County.
