IMEC: Close Workforce Gaps and Address Talent Shortages Cohort
Details
Description
As employers continue to grapple with the talent shortage, some manufacturers are having success hiring more non-traditional candidates, also known as untapped talent. Untapped talent are people with relevant skills who may not meet traditional job requirements. Often their resumes are overlooked or excluded by hiring managers due to education, experience, or employment gaps. Untapped Talent could include the neurodivergent community, justice-impacted or reentry citizens, people with disabilities, youth between 18-24, mothers or caretakers returning to work, veterans, limited English speakers, refugees, and others. Fair Chance hiring practices take time and commitment. Participate in a Peer-Based Workshop to amplify our resolve to transform the manufacturing industry, reduce the equity gap, and level the playing field for all. This Facilitator led group discussion gives you the opportunity to connect with other manufacturers and industry experts on solutions to real-time workforce gaps. We highly encourage team participation.
