Grant writing is competitive, and writers must be ready to craft a unique and compelling proposal while adhering to specific funder guidelines. Poor proposals can make a bad impression and weaken your chances at funding now and in the future. Join NICNE and trainers Dr. Lynn Gibson and Dr. Kim Suedbeck for two 4-hour workshop sessions that will help you write successful grant proposals. Dr. Gibson and Dr. Suedbeck each have more than 20 years of experience with writing and reading federal, state, local, and family foundation grants and are highly sought-after grant writing trainers.
You will learn how to write full grant proposals including finding funding opportunities, planning for collaboration, writing, budget and outcome development, and critical elements of storytelling. Time will be spent helping you to learn how to cultivate and maintain funder relationships, plan and prepare for submissions, and elements such as grant tracking, grant management, and compliance.
Attendees will receive a toolkit containing sample forms and policies, templates, best practices and other resources to ensure you are ready and prepared to apply for grants and the best chance at submitting winning grant proposals.
Facilitators will have provide answers to your questions. If you have a grant opportunity selected, this will be an opportunity for you to gain feedback on portions of your selected grant with guidance from the instructors. ($225 NICNE Members / $250 general admission).
