SIU Fermentation Science Institute: Past, Present and Future

Join us with Matt McCarroll, PhD., Director of the Fermentation Science Institute (FSI); Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, at Southern Illinois University to discuss how FSI supports fermentation related business, which range from fermented foods, beverages, and biotechnology. The webinar will cover how the FSI Service Laboratory provides certified testing, which has benefited over 100 clients both regionally and nationally, its BS degree in fermentation science, its pilot facilities for brewing, distilling, malting, winemaking cheesemaking, a production kitchen and formal sensory laboratory. McCarroll will also cover plans and expected impact of incorporating BioLaunch and the IIN iFERM Hub into ongoing and future activities.
