Overview: Join Adrienne Coleman, Ed.D., CDP and Traci Ellis, J.D., SHRM-SCP of Candid Conversations Matter, LLC for a two-part virtual workshop on the value of racial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the board level.
This workshop supports board leadership on advancing racial equity, creating a cultural strategy of belonging, leading for racial DEI with a focus on representation, recruitment, retention, and the board role in leading RDEI work. Building an inclusive and welcoming board culture will help to ensure nonprofit boards represent the racial diversity of communities they serve.
Adrienne and Traci will outline the connection between diversity, organizational performance, and value, share a framework to attract, recruit, and retain diverse board members, and provide a model to guide boards in prioritizing and institutionalizing racial DEI. A toolkit will be provided to guide implementation of strategies to advance RDEI within boards and organizations.
Intended Audience: This presentation is intended for nonprofit executives, board presidents, board chairs, board executives, and other nonprofit leadership staff. Representatives of any organization wishing to learn more about board diversity and culture are welcome to attend.
