Geothermal Illinois: Community District Systems (clean heating and cooling)
Presented by: Brian Urlaub, Associate Vice President & Director of Geothermal Operations, SALAS O’BRIEN Geothermal energy systems allow district heating plants, facilities, developments, complexes, and organizational campuses to attain higher efficiencies, better cost savings, and lower carbon emissions. Join us for a community/district geothermal presentation that will focus on key elements of designing and constructing an interconnected ambient geothermal system for either neighborhood or campus applications. Key drivers that affect the design and implementation will be discussed, as well as different options that help make the systems more flexible, resilient, efficient, and cost effective. The webinar will cover aspects and variations in geothermal energy systems, and how to use city ROW for geothermal infrastructure. This learning opportunity is ideal for professionals working in county and city government, facilities, public works, environmental sustainability, infrastructure project managers, planning/zoning, utilities, clean energy workforce organizations or associations, and community planning. After the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask for specifications and guidance in getting their projects started.
