      Mode of Delivery: Virtual Webinar

Presented by Anna Mary Walker, M.A.M., Principal Consultant, AM/PM Solutions and Services

Description: This grant writing workshop is designed to offer fundamental lessons for nonprofit professionals who are new to grant writing and need to acquire basic skills and understanding. This workshop would also be advantageous to someone who has written grants in the past, but still feels underprepared for the responsibility. Discover how to find your “best match” grant opportunities, build relationships with grantors and understand the structure behind creating competitive grant requests. Learn what the individual and the organization can do to make sure they are set up for success both internally and externally. Resources will be provided. (This workshop qualifies for the nonprofit partner discounted rate for registrants associated with Giving DuPage.)

      Objectives:

      • Understand the overall structure and expectations for grant writing.
      • Learn to develop relationships with grantors before and after award.
      • Explore the essential elements of a winning request.
      • Develop an impactful team, calendar and reporting process.

      Pricing

      Single - $33
      Nonprofit Partner - $30*
NIU Student (grad or undergrad) - $10

      No need for customs clearance

      Foreign Trade Zone Benefits

There is no need to hold product for customs clearance. This often results in a one to three day reduction in the supply chain which benefits not only manufacturers and other end users, but 3PL (third party logistics) providers. LEARN MORE

      Customs duties

      Foreign Trade Zone Benefits

Customs duties are paid only when foreign merchandise is shipped into US Customs territory. Therefore, standing inventory is held in the FTZ subzone/site without duty, often resulting in large savings, particularly during the first year. LEARN MORE

      Value Added

      Foreign Trade Zone Benefits

Value added to merchandise in an FTZ subzone/site is not dutiable. Customs duties are not owed on labor, overhead and profit attributed to production operations in the FTZ. LEARN MORE
