Heather Wick is a fourth generation Boone County resident, with ties to the agricultural community. For more than 20 years, she worked in the banking industry where she met the financial needs of individuals, families and businesses. In addition to banking, she has extensive experience in marketing and advertising, public relations, and website and social media management.

A graduate of Belvidere High School, she received her Associates Degree in Agricultural Sciences from Kishwaukee College and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Communications from Northern Illinois University.

Heather works with local, state and national leaders, business professionals, business owners and other stakeholders to foster economic growth and vitality in Belvidere and Boone County. 

Committed to Boone County, Heather serves as a board member of Boone County CASA and as a director & Vice President for the Boone County Community Foundation.  She serves on the U of I Extension Community and Economic Development (CED) Advisory Committee for Boone, DeKalb and Ogle Counties; and, she is a member of the U of I Extension State Advisory Council representing Region 1. She is a past board member of the Board of Education for Belvidere School District 100, University of Illinois Extension Office – Boone County, former Money Smart Week member and founding member of Habitat for Humanity of Boone County.
